After years of traveling to hundreds of Civil War sites and taking terabytes of photos I wanted to finally put into writing some of my experiences. Posts here will be about: battlefield, campaign or cavalry raid sites that I’ve visited; Civil War medicine and hospitals; cities and their Civil War sites; interesting stories of lesser-known people; Civil War museums I’ve visited; and upcoming tours and events I find interesting.
The purpose is to collect all this information in one place- brochures, maps, pictures, locations, sources about where I found information I used on my trips. Nothing more. We do not sell or endorse any product or service.
