The Groveton Confederate Cemetery

The Groveton Confederate Cemetery is Auto Tour Stop #8 at the battlefield. It is connected to the Dogan house (next post) by a path. The cemetery was established on Mrs. Dogan’s property. Over 500 Confederate dead were reburied here but only two that died during the Second Battle of Manassas have individual headstones.
