The museum is located in the Attmore-Oliver House at 511 Broad Street in New Bern the home of the New Bern Historical Society. Their website has a link to their Historical Journal Archives which is a great source for articles on the Civil War in the area. The Civil War exhibits are on the first floor. Most were in a narrow hallway when I first walked in the door. The width of the hallway made it difficult to photograph them without glare.

The remainder of the images are of Civil War scenes from eastern North Carolina published in Harper’s Weekly.
