Brown’s Farm- is located in the Stuart’s Crossing community north of town which is not gated. It was the launching point for Hancock’s II Corps attack on the Mule Shoe Salient on May 12th.



The Brown house was a half mile to the left of the sign.




Todd’s Tavern- located at the intersection of the Brock and Catharpin Roads. A Confederate delaying action along the Brock Road by Confederate cavalry allowed Lee to beat Grant to Spotsylvania Court House.










Fighting occurred in this field where the original tavern was located.





Aldrich Farm/ USCT- the USCT signs are new and located at 38.2753889, -77.6251667. The first time USCTs faced the army of Northern Virginia.

Harris Farm- the site of a near disastrous Confederate offensive under Major General Richard Ewell on May 19th.
