This multipart series covers the period from the Battle of Cedar Mountain to Second Manassas. It begins with Robert E. Lee sending Stonewall Jackson to Louisa Court House and ends with the defeat of Union General John Pope at the Battle of Second Manassas. These events occurred in July and August 1862 and cover the activities of the short lived Union Army of Virginia.
